more from glasgow

March 28, 2010

The term is over and I’m going back to Baltimore on Tuesday. Here are some pictures of my studio here.

exhibition

March 17, 2010

Students at the Glasgow School of Art have several exhibitions throughout their four years here. The exchange students weren’t a part of any of them (at least not this term). At first, I was frustrated and felt like we weren’t being taken seriously. Then I decided to take matters into my own hands and organize an exhibition for the fine arts exchange students. It was small, and not a particularly notable exhibition, but I’m glad we did it. Here are some pictures:

I’ll upload more pictures later.

more art

I’ll take a good picture of it eventually.

Started second semester sophomore year. Finshed-ish first semester junor year.

about 52″ x ??”

color abstraction

These are two pieces I did for my color abstraction class with Timothy App.

color abstraction, continued

December 21, 2009

These pieces came from assignment to do a painting based on a system. I thought I’d use a set of instructions for how to put a condom on as my system (instructions are a system, right?). The original painting I did was really busy and had too much going on, so I cropped it into a bunch of smaller pieces. Not entirely sure how successful they turned out, but at least I tried.

Here are a few of the pieces that came from that. I might upload more later. And, you know, take better pictures.
